A1 English Reading – Short Story & Vocabulary Quiz
Every morning, Maria gets ready for breakfast. She likes to eat a healthy meal, so she prepares a Greek plate. First, she makes some pancakes. She flips them on the pan. Then she mixes them with honey. Next, she slices fresh pears and adds Greek yogurt on the side. Maria also drinks a cup of Greek coffee.
Her brother, Alex, comes in and says, “I would like some bacon and ham!” Maria laughs and replies, “That is unhealthy! Finally, Alex makes some Greek breakfast too.
They sit together and enjoy their meals. Maria says, “This breakfast gives us energy for the day!” Alex nods and smiles, as they both eat and drink happily, following the rules of a healthy lifestyle.
