Maria had been feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. She had recently moved to a new city, leaving behind her quiet hometown to pursue a new career. Her new apartment was small but cozy, and her baggage is still mostly unpacked in the corner. She was looking forward to exploring every range of its vibrant culture.
Her first day at the tech company was an overwhelming experience. There was so much information to absorb, from company regulations to complex project details. She was allowed to ask questions, thankfully, but she tried to be the least annoying possible. Her new manager, a kind woman with a reputation for being reliable, made a remark about Maria’s rapid learning ability.
The commute to work was approximately 45 minutes and she was really happy about that. It is said that 2 hours is the average time someone spends commuting every day in a big city. After work she would spend time walking around, discovering hidden shops and picturesque streets. She would often recall her old life, but she was rapidly getting used to the city’s fast pace. One evening, she purchased a new pair of trousers that were perfectly fine for her new urban lifestyle. Maria knew that this new chapter would reward her with growth and new experiences. This was a realistic and exciting start.
