B1 English Reading – Short Story & Grammar Quiz
The annual school art exhibition was planned for next week. The main hall on campus was being decorated. Many colorful pictures had been drawn by students. Emily, who was good at art, had given her best drawing. This exhibition was a big celebration of talent. The central theme this year was “Nature’s Beauty.”
On the opening day, a large painting, which was placed near the entrance, suddenly fell off. The heavy wooden frame was broken, and the painting was damaged. Everyone was shocked. Emily, who was standing nearby, felt a bit scared, but she stayed calm. She knew it was a challenge that needed quick help. She bravely decided to assist.
The broken frame and the glass were carefully removed. A very skilled teacher took care of it, so the exhibition was not delayed for long. All the amazing artworks have been admired by hundreds of visitors since then. The best drawing will be announced next Friday, and the winning student will be given an award. Emily hopes her picture will be chosen.
