Maria was a new citizen in a pretty town. She had moved there last month, and everything was very different. She was walking around the main square. She saw a tall crane working near the old buildings. Also, the local currency was different and that was still confusing for her.
She noticed an ancient building. It was made of high-quality stone. Outside, there was a strange figure carved into the wall. It looked circular. People were gathering around it. It was a specific custom, she thought. They were trying to preserve something old. Maria felt a deep sense of respect.
This custom was a mystery to Maria. She knew she had an opportunity to learn more about the town. She adored learning new things. She went to ask a man standing there and that’s how she made her first friend. This town was an ideal place for her, full of quiet secrets!
