A2 English Reading – Short Story & Vocabulary Quiz
Leo was home alone. He was very excited. His parents were going to return later. He decided to go for a walk in the park. It was a sunny day, perfect for walking. He didn’t think he would have any problems.
As he was walking, he saw a small, strange child sitting alone under a big tree. The child was crying. Leo felt a bit worried. He didn’t know how to help. The child looked in pain and was very sad.
Leo went closer. “What’s wrong?” he asked softly. The child pointed to their leg. There was a small wound on their knee. “Oh, no! I’m sorry,” Leo said. He knew he had to help. He didn’t want the child to be in pain.
He remembered his first aid kit in his backpack. He didn’t have to worry for long. He carefully cleaned the wound and put a small bandage on it. The child smiled. “Thank you!” they said. Leo felt very happy. He had solved the problem on his own!
